CAPS is here!
CAPS is a pioneering environmental education initiative, merging technology, citizen science, and community engagement to empower changemakers for clean air and sustainable living.
Engage
Engage key stakeholders within local communities (council members, school pupils, parents, community associations and local businesses) with issues surrounding local air pollution.
Develop
Develop a low-cost, portable, open-source air pollution sensor (APS) designed to be easy to assemble and used within local communities
Encourage
Use the APS as a way of encouraging STEAM education, citizen science and to engage new stakeholders to undertake activities that reduce air pollution.
Educate and empower!
CAPS engages young students in understanding air quality, using tech and coding for hands-on learning.
Education boosts awareness, while sensors actively tackle air quality, showcasing our dual commitment to knowledge and action for a cleaner air future.
